Kelly Lynn Sugarman, 36, formerly of Whitesboro, passed away April 13, 2016.
Kelly was born Oct. 4, 1979, in Utica, New York, beloved only child of Tom and Joanne Connors. She was a graduate of Whitesboro High School, Class of 1997, and Utica College. She moved to Boston after college graduation. Kelly was employed by Advocates of Framingham Massachusetts, as a fiscal billing coordinator. She was of Catholic faith.
Kelly was full of life, with a big smile and a big heart. She married on June 21, 2008; and from that union has a precious daughter, Sofia. Kelly enjoyed every moment of being a mom to the fullest. Sofia could not have had a more perfect mom, or more love. In Sofia’s words, “Mommie, you are my best friend.”
Kelly’s greatest joy was doing things with Sofia, such as making crafts, baking, swim and dance classes, and going to the library, or ocean beaches. Kelly had more fun than Sofia with doing these activities. Kelly’s dad introduced her to running, which she enjoyed. She looked forward to running The Boilermaker, and the after party, each year.
Kelly leaves her parents, Tom and Joanne Connors; daughter Sofia; uncles and aunts, Russ and Marie Connors, KY, and Tim and Gwen Connors, Deerfield, NY; and several cousins. She also leaves many friends, including special lifelong friend Ken Kleaka, of Long Island, NY, who was like her brother. She was predeceased by her grandparents, and her favorite aunt, Janice Kokosenski.
Calling hours will be Thursday, April 21, 4 -7 p.m., at Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, Forty Main St., Whitesboro. Funeral services are Friday, 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Burrstone Rd., New Hartford, New York. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Cemetery, Whitestown, New York.
